Hi again,
I've been neglecting this ol' blog a bit haven't I. Been so busy having fun - shooting pics and scrapping.

Here are some of the layouts I made recently, starting with the most recent:

Have card will travel
I made this lo during the June Weekday Workshop at ScrapArtist. It was inspired by one of the journalling promts:You have 10 minutes to pack for a week long trip. What do you bring?

LDD Challenge #3

apprenticeprogram2010a
Hi : )
First of all I want to thank everyone who has, for downloading my freebies and a very special thank you to all of you who were so kind to leave a comment at the LDD Apprentice Freebie Gallery. It is so motivating and stimulating to receive your feedback and encouragement. Like power food for my creativity cells, lol.
I am SO very excited to announce that I have made it through yet another round! With the competition being so awesome waiting for the decision about who is to go through to the next round can be pretty nerve shattering, lol.
For this round we had to make a doodle brush set. Here’s the preview:
DieuwkeGeervliet_week3
These brushes come with presets to make them more dynamic and fun to use. If you’re not familiar with these type of brushes read on and I’ll explain a little about how you can use them.
Week #3 Doodle Brushes and how to use them:
The brushes in this week’s freebie have been saved with various presets. This means you can simply stroke the brush across your paper, element or background and the brush will follow a scattered path according to the presets that have been assigned to it. Of course, these are totally customizable too.
To start with all you need to do is:
-select the desired doodle brush
-set the desired size
-choose the desired color
Then drag your brush across the page
– Tip: holding down the shift key (in Photoshop) will give you a straight line along which the brush will run. Great for borders and edges.
Play with them, experiment with size and color. You can combine them, create backgrounds, overlays, styles, elements. Endless creative possibilities. I really hope you will enjoy them.
Here’s a sampler with all the presets:

I also have a little extra treat for you to celebrate my making it to the next round –
These past three weeks have been a creative frenzy and I have made quite a bit more than was required for the challenges. I’ve put these items together as an extra freebie for you:

wordbits

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since I posted a freebie, so here’s a new one for you.

“wordbits”

Below you’ll find two download links. Both contain the exact same wordbits, one has a layered psd-file for Photoshop. All you need to do is download the file, unzip and open the pds-file in Photoshop. You’ll find the image with each of the words on their own layer. You simply drag the wordbit(s) layer(s) you want into your layout where you can resize and arrange them as you like.

The other download link contains a png-sheet. After downloading and unzipping, you can open the png-sheet in your graphics program, with the selection tool you can select the wordbit you want and copy. Make a new layer for the selected wordbit in your layout and paste it in the new layer. Repeat this until you have all the wordbits you want in your lo. Then all you need to do is adjust the position and size, as needed, to suit your layout.

I hope you’ll find them useful. Let me know what you think : )

Happy scrapping!
